The pies that started it all

I made these two pies on December 18, 2010. My husband had a few friends over and I had some left over cranberries, apples and walnuts so I decided I would make pies for them just for fun. These two pies are the same, cranapple, with the exception of the pie on the right that had walnuts in it.

Shortly after I made these pies, I decided it was time to venture out and make other types of pies. However I did receive compliments from the guys that night and thought, these were so easy to make, I should make more pies. So when I see this picture, I think of the pies that started it all.
